"Lavendar Pinwheels"
 75" X 75"
$275

This sweet quilt-maker unknown- has hand pieced blocks and machine pieced lattice.

The quilt top maker did excellent work- notice the small triangles that are pieced to use every scrap of fabric!

“Cotton Balls” quilting design by Sharon Schamber was chosen to add to the sweetness of this quilt.

Something Old, Something New
63" x 74"
$250

This quilt is a cross-over, made of some vintage fabrics, some older fabrics and some newer fabrics that all blend together into a cheery throw size
quilt. The fabrics include a feed sack, an older 36" wide fabric, a homespun plaid and several others added in to complete this collection of pinks,
blues and reds. The scalloped edging and large rose fabric border give this large lap quilt a romantic feel. It is filled with a light weight polyester batting and quilted with romantic roses design.

"Vintage Nine Patch"
 77" X 99"
$350

This very colorful and playful quilt(maker unknown) has hand pieced nine-patch blocks that appear to have been sewn by a beginner with larger but secure stitches and left over vintage fabrics.

The  setting blocks, many of which are vintage feed sack fabrics, are machine sewn to the pieced blocks.

The sweetness of this quilt warranted the hint of hearts quilting pattern called “Here & There” by Keryn Emmerson.

Mid weight cotton select batting makes this quilt ready to cuddle with.

"Vintage Triangles"
75" X 75"
$275

This sweet vintage top – maker unknown- was given to Pat Ferguson who added new fabric borders, binding  and era  appropriate muslin backing.

The abundance of blue triangles (many of the triangles are made from shirting fabrics and some flannels) reminded Pat of water which  inspired her to  machine quilted it with a swirling pattern – “Flourish” by Keryn Emmerson.

Batting is  pre washed and shrunk cotton.  Top has been hand washed and repaired.  This quilt must go to a gentle, caring home.

The vintage fabrics and the 1/8” machine sewn seam allowances make this quilt fairly  fragile, not meant for daily use, but more to be viewed.

All “rescued” quilts have been gently laundered and carefully repaired to bring them back to life for future enjoyment. These quilts are not “perfect” and may still have some age spots or imperfections that add to their authenticity and charm. Some have newer fabrics added as borders or whatever is needed to complete them. Patches are repaired from a stash of vintage scraps whenever possible. Bindings and backings are usually newer fabrics because larger pieces are needed.  Battings are top quality cotton, polyester or blend and designated for each quilt. Machine quilting designs are chosen to compliment each quilt top. Pat Ferguson  takes pride in  choosing quality materials and excellent workmanship to complete these precious  pieces.
